It is with immense pleasure and pride that I am penning this editorial for the first issue of the official publication of Journal of Association for Medical Updates (JAMU). Medicine is an ever-evolving field with new diagnostic and therapeutic tools making a great impact on the approach to the management of various diseases. Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has brought our focus back to an integrated approach to tackle the emerging illnesses, prevention and there management where all specialities are contributing for a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to prevent, diagnosis and research which will add to advancement of medical sciences. The aim of this journal is to integrate research and innovation of single disease in all specialities of medicine. This journal intends to provide common platform for the publication of research papers of all specialities to cater to the general medical fraternity.

All publications are intensely scrutinised and peer reviewed by eminent luminaries in their respective fields. JAMU is an international biannual journal that entertains original research in the field of medical education, advancement’s in diagnostics, surgical innovations, preventive and social medicine and novel updates in medical sciences.

The journal follows ethical principles laid down by scholarly bodies such as COPE Committees on Publication Ethics (COPE), International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and also ethical guidelines for publication of biomedical research on human participants.
