Aims and Scope
JAMU, a Publication of the Association for medical Updates, is an international, fully peer-reviewed journal covering all aspects of innovation & advancements in Medicine and the Health care system. Journal publishes original research in the field of medical education, advancement in diagnostics and therapeutics, surgical innovations, preventive and social medicine, and novel updates in medical science. The journal does not charge for submission, processing, or publication of manuscripts and even for color reproduction of photographs.

Journal Ethics
The Journal of association for Medical Updates (JAMU) follows ethical principles laid down by scholarly bodies such as COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors), and also Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research on Human Participants, 2017 https://icmr.nic.in/sites/default/files/guidelines/ICMR_Ethical_Guidelines_2017.pdf. All manuscripts based on research involving human participants or using human blood, tissues, and other samples and medical records need to be submitted along with a clearance certificate from the Institutional Ethics Committee. The members of the Committee should also be listed. For Clinical Images and case series duly signed, Patient Consent Form needs to be submitted along with the manuscript. Studies involving animals require submission of a clearance certificate from the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee.
Publisher and Journal/Association are committed to meeting and upholding standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process. We follow closely the industry associations, such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), that set standards and provide guidelines for best practices to meet these requirements.
Authorship Criteria
Each author must contribute a significant segment and take responsibility for the content as well as the authenticity of the work. Authors must complete an Authorship form clearly stating their responsibilities, contribution, and financial sources. Authors must supply an email address as all correspondence will be by email.
Copyright and Photocopying
All articles published represent the opinions of the authors and do not reflect the official policy of the journal. Without the written permission of the journal, no portion of the journal could be copied or transmitted for commercial purposes in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, or via any storage or retrieval system.
Editorial Policy
Authors should prepare their manuscripts submitted to the journal according to the instructions given. Manuscripts that do not follow the format and style of the journal may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected. At least three peer reviewers will review each submitted article, and authors will be asked to make modifications/ corrections as required. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to return the galley proofs without delay with correction (if any). The journal reserves the right to make any further formatting changes and language corrections necessary in a manuscript accepted for publication so that it conforms to the formatting requirements of the journal. The authors are responsible for the contents that appear in their published manuscripts.

Open Access Publication and Creative Commons Licensing
This is an open-access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given. The new creations are licensed under identical terms.
